This new update for Recite brings a redesigned lesson form to make creating lessons easier. It also brings the ability to customise when to remind students of their upcoming lesson. The new form also allows you to preview the repeated lessons as well as give an offset that will allow you vary each of these repeated lessons.
Redesigned lesson form
This update brings some critical scheduling features and improvements for teachers. After feedback from schools and teachers wanting more features and capability to lesson scheduling, I decided to redesign the lesson form to help support new and upcoming features that will make Recite more capable than ever.
Preview repeated lessons and choose an offset
You can now preview the additional lessons Recite will create when you use the repeated lessons feature. This feature allows you create copies of a new lesson across multiple days, weeks, fortnights and months. You can also set an offset which will delay the next lesson in the sequence. This was a highly requested feature for teachers and schools where lessons need to be "rotated" so the student won't miss the same school lesson.
Customise reminders
Another requested feature was the ability to customise when the reminder of a lesson is sent. You can now choose from 1-24 hours before the lesson start time to send an email and/or sms to the students contact details!
Even better onboarding!
I have also been hard at work on improving onboarding even more. When you sign up, Recite will create a business for you and set some default settings. These details will now be presented to new teachers signing up to double check. This is especially important for your timezone which is used when scheduling lessons and displaying the correct time and date.
