The Room Where It Happens - Create rooms and view their calendars, teachers and students
Recite now supports creating rooms where you can attach lessons and teachers to specific rooms to keep track of certain spaces for campus-based schools and studios. A reworked navigation with organised buttons make it easier than ever to find what you are looking for.
Keep your teaching spaces organised
Running lessons across several studios or teaching spaces? Rooms give each space a name, a colour and its own calendar, so you can see where lessons are happening at a glance.
A tidier navigation menu
The updated navigation menu groups related links into collapsible Scheduling, Finance and People sections in both Studio Mode and Teacher Mode. Select a section heading to expand it or collapse it when you want more space.

In Studio Mode, you’ll find Rooms under Scheduling, alongside Calendar, All Lessons and Scheduling Assistant.
Create a room
In Studio Mode, open Rooms from the navigation menu and select New Room. Give the room a name (for example, “Piano Studio”) and choose a colour. You can return to the room later to edit its name or colour.
See what’s booked in each room
When viewing a room you can easily see a list of events, a calendar and the teachers either assigned by default for this room, or teachers with lessons in this room.
You can also switch between rooms from the studio calendar: open Calendar, change View by from Teacher to Room, then pick the room you want to see. This makes it easy to check a space’s timetable without hopping between teacher calendars.

Assign a room to an event
When creating or editing a lesson or other event, choose a space from the Room dropdown in Event Details, then save. The event will appear on that room’s calendar. Rooms are optional, so you can leave No room selected when a space hasn’t been decided yet.
Scheduling a batch of lessons? The Scheduling Assistant also has a Room field, which applies the selected room to the lessons it creates. For a teacher who usually works in one space, you can set a Default room on their teacher profile; new events for that teacher will start with that room selected, and you can change it for any individual event. There is also a new shared calendar option to create room-specific shared calendars!
